观测提案填写说明( Instructions for proposal submission)

1.  注册账户(https://login.ihep.ac.cn/regist.jsp ),并通过email激活。

2.  登陆网站,并点击提案进入;观测提案分为年度提案(Annual Proposal)和临时提案(Ad hoc Proposal). 年度提案又分为常规提案(Regular Proposal)、联合观测提案(Joint Proposal)和ToO提案(ToO)。下面是客座提案的字段说明,其他类型类推。

  • (1) 提案题目(Proposal Title)(必填):提交提案的标题;
  • (2) 摘要(Abstract)(必填):提案的摘要,300汉字或英文单词以内,给出该提案的科学意义、已有的结果、预期成果等。更详细的分析说明可自行写成word或pdf文档以附件形式上传;
  • (3) 主题分类(Subject Category) (:提案目标的分类,从列表中选取;
  • (4) 基金支撑(funding):与本提案相关的基金支持号;
  • (5) 提案人信息 :默认主提案人为注册用户,信息从注册信息中自动导入,可添加多个共同提案人;
  • (6) 目标源(Target(s)) (必填):点击“Add”按钮,可为本提案添加1个或多个目标源,同时指定观测模式为定点观测(pointing)或小天区观测(Small Area Scan)。为填写方便,可以对整个目标源进行克隆(clone)和删除(delete)。下面分别介绍定点观测模式和小天区扫描模式的填写规则。

   定点观测模式下:

  • a) 源名称(Target Name):目标源的名称,可以是常用名(如Crab),也可以是标准命名(J0534+2200);
  • b) 源的简短描述(Target Description):对源的简要说明;
  • c) 源坐标(Target Position)(必填):给出J2000坐标系下的赤经(Ra)和赤纬(Dec),赤经的格式为hh:mm:ss.sss,赤纬的格式为(-)dd:mm:ss.sss,其中小数点前的不可忽略,小数点及后面可以忽略;
  • d) 目标能段(Energy band) (必填):给出观测源的目标能段;
  • e) 流量估计(Flux)必填:给出观测源在高、中、低能望远镜上的估计光子流量;
  • f) 总观测时间(Total Obsevation Time) (必填):所需的总有效观测时间;
  • g) 观测次数(Number of Observations) (必填):所需观测次数;
  • h) 偏向观测(off-axis):如要求偏离目标源进行观测,则选中该项,并填写目标指向的赤经和赤纬;
  • i) 固定时间观测(Observation Constraints):如果需要固定时间观测,则选中此项,并且给出一个或多个可能的观测时间段;
  • j) 监测观测(Monitoring Observations):如果需要对目标源进行监测,则选中此项,并给出两次监测的最短和最长时间要求;
  • k) 相位依赖的观测(Phase Dependent Observations):如需依赖于目标源的相位进行观测,则选中此项,并给出零相位时的时间(Epoch,MJD时间格式)、周期(Period,以天为单位)和观测需要的最小及最大相位(Min , Max)。

    小天区扫描观测模式下:
      填写规则同定点模式,需额外填写的项如下:

  • a) 扫描中心的赤经和赤纬(必填):Center R.A., Center Dec.;
  • b) 扫描半径(Radius)(必填):扫描半径,范围 7°-10°;
  • c) 扫描角速度(Scan angular velocity) (必填):扫描角速度 0.01, 0.03 or 0.06 °/s 可选;
  • d) 扫描步长(Step)(必填):0.1°,0.2° 。。。 1.0°间隔0.1°可选;
  • e) 扫描次数(Scan number)(必填):所需的扫描次数。

3.  填写完成后,点击保存(save),系统会自动做基本检查,通过后即保存成功,可以在左侧栏的Proposal List栏里看到自己已经保存的提案。注意:提案尚未完成!还必须上传申请书正文(doc, docx, pdf, rar, tar格式均支持), 点击下载申请书 模板 。在截止日期之前,可以对提案进行修改、删除等操作;截止日期之后所有完成的提案自动提交,不能再修改。


Instructions for proposal submission

1. If you do not have an account, please register at https://login.ihep.ac.cn/regist.jsp and get your account activated by e-mail.

2. Log in and find the appropriate class for your proposal on the left and click it. All proposals are grouped into “Annual Proposal” and “Ad hoc Proposal”. The “Annual Proposal” includes “Regular Proposal”, "Joint Proposal” and “ToO”. The explanations for the items of the Regular Proposal are listed below.

  • (1) Proposal Title (Required): the title of your proposal;
  • (2) Abstract (Required): the abstract of the proposal should be within 300 words. The proposal application document must be uploaded after you finish this page;
  • (3) Subject Category (Required): choose the appropriate subject category for your proposal in the pop-up list;
  • (4) Funding: the funding number for your proposal;
  • (5) Investigator Information: Co-investigator(s) could be added here;
  • (6) Target(s) (Required): By clicking “Add”, you could add one or more targets for the proposal. The observation mode of Pointing or Small Area Scan should be specified. ‘Clone’ or ‘deleted’ can be used to copy/delete the target.

Pointing:

  • a) Target Name (Required): the common name (e.g. Crab) or standard nomenclature (J0534+2200) can be used;
  • b) Target Description: a brief description of the target;
  • c) Target Position (Required):the position in J2000 Coordinate. RA: hh:mm:ss.sss,DEC: (±)dd:mm:ss.sss. The digit before the dot cannot be omitted;
  • d) Energy band (Required):the required energy band for the observation;
  • e) Flux:the estimated flux in HE/ME/LE;
  • f) Total Exposure Time (Required):the suggested total exposure time in ks;
  • g) Number of Observations (Required):the suggested number of observations;
  • h) Off-axis:If the off-axis observation is need, check the box and provide the pointing position (RA/DEC).;
  • i) Observation Constraints:choose if the fixed timeline is needed;
  • j) Monitoring Observations:choose for monitoring a target. The minimal/maximal interval should be given as well;
  • k) Phase Dependent Observations:choose for the phase dependent observation. The phase 0 Epoch (in MJD format), period (in days), and the needed minimal/maximal phase should be given.

Small Area Scan:
Almost the same as the “pointing". The extra items include:

  • a) Center R.A./Center DEC. (Required): the scan center in RA/DEC;
  • b) Radius (Required):the scan radius in 7°-10°;
  • c) Scan angular velocity (Required):choose the scan angular velocity from one of the three: 0.01°/s, 0.03°/s or 0.06 °/s;
  • d) Step (Required): the scan step between the two adjacent routes, optional in 0.1°,0.2° , 0.3°… 1.0°;
  • e) Scan number (Required): the needed number of scan.

3. After you finish the above, please click “save”. Then the Proposal Submission System will do basic checks on your proposal. If your proposal passes all checks, it will be saved in the Proposal List (shown on the left of the Proposal page). Notice that your proposal submission has not finished until the proposal application document is uploaded (The template can be download here). Doc, docx, pdf, rar, tar formats are accepted for the application document. You can modify or delete the application document before the deadline.
